Hi there!! I’ve been actively networking for fifteen years, having participated in most networking workshops, organizations, and technologies (and creating some of my own). Never before have I experienced something as powerful as what I am about to share with you right now. Do you want to strengthen the relationships you already have? Do you want to learn things about your friends that might surprise you, or inspire you? Do you want your cause and your vision to be active in your community’s consciousness? All that is possible on a web site called Facebook. (www.facebook.com) And it’s awesome! You may think that you’re not web savvy, you may be concerned about security, or maybe you don’t want to invest your time in trying something new. These concerns are analogous to typical concerns in networking. That is, people may not know what to say, so they don’t go to an event; people are worried about talking to the wrong type of person, so they don’t talk to anybody at all; and people use time as an excuse not to do something, when that something will actually save them time. The “Secret” to life is to look for what works inside of a possibility, instead of looking for what doesn’t work. With Facebook, you can have a deeper level of connectedness to people in your life (by sharing pictures, videos, web sites, and just about anything else). You can cause “community consciousness” by creating a group, promoting events, and updating others on what you’re up to (business, social, or personal). And, most of all, you can have mass distribution of your ideas, thoughts, and questions, to everyone in your community with a click of a button. This is really, really powerful. Just like anything, the more work you put into it, the better the results you will experience. And, I’m going to give a nugget that will speed things up for you. I currently have over 1,100 people in my Facebook community, and when you connect with me on Facebook, you can leverage that community. There are so many examples of utilizing that leverage which can be a seminar in itself, but let me give you just one quick example. Let’s say you are traveling to Los Angeles and don’t know anybody there. You can go to my list of friends and specifically search for people who live in Los Angeles. You can then contact them directly, use me as the link (the commonality of relatedness in networking), and create a new friendship, possibly getting access to economical lodging and a tour guide upon your visit! I have no affiliation with Facebook and would only recommend it based on the fact that I have gotten significant value (social and business) from it. It only takes a few minutes to register, so try it out at www.facebook.com. Remember to link with me (search for “Sayed Danish Ahmed”) and then upload your entire contact list for maximum utilization. The more people who are on Facebook, the better it is for everyone. You may have heard of other web sites that sound similar to Facebook, and as a technology entrepreneur, I can tell you that Facebook is totally different. In fact, I believe a whole new paradigm of on-line community creation has just been invented. Take advantage of it now at www.facebook.com. Love, [)anish /|hmed have fun creating your life! P.S. I have been using Facebook to promote my big birthday party on Friday, September 28, and we already have 70 guests confirmed just from Facebook. This stuff really works. On Facebook, you can see pictures of people from our previous parties, too! Facebook the Birthday Event and RSVP at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=4836422583 |
