STANDING ROOM ONLY YOUNG CANADIAN AUTHOR MAKES HIS MARK AT INDIGO The twenty-six year old is a home-grown personal development guru with only 5% vision (legally blind) due to albinism. He's the son of Pakistani immigrants who settled in Toronto's Regent Park when he was only four years old. As Ahmed relayed parts of his personal story to the capacity and standing room only audience, he intertwined his distinctions philosophy, pointing out that ineffective word usage can dramatically alter our personal and professional relationships. He began with a challenge for the audience to listen to their thoughts for five seconds, and then drew from chapters in his book to discern between the words: wisdom & intelligence; personal, pervasive & permanent; dream, purpose & mission; and motivation & inspiration. This young dynamo is heading off to Atlanta Georgia as a featured speaker at the Toastmasters International convention in August and will be running full tilt to accommodate his speaking schedule this fall.
