For Immediate release: Distinctions Craze Comes to Winnipeg With Canadian Launch of New Book Toronto - March 17, 2003 - Dynamic,Toronto based author and public speaker Danish Ahmed has chosen Winnipeg, Manitoba to officially launch his book 'A Dictionary of Distinctions' in the North American marketplace. Ahmed will be the guest author at McNally Robinson Booksellers (Grant Park) on Wednesday, March 19th at 7:30 pm where he will speak and sign copies of his popular book. Ahmed who is officially blind (only 5% vision) due to albinism, plans to beat a hectic path during his stay in Winnipeg. His book launch will be the culmination of an eight-day speaking tour for the young 26 year old, which will find him talking to youth at the University of Winnipeg and various business associations in many corners of the city. Why Winnipeg? "Why not", says Ahmed. "Winnipeg has the distinction of being located near the mid-point of Canada, 'A Dictionary of Distinctions' is available at bookstores across this country, and my message that proper use of words in our daily communications can make a huge difference in our lives is universal." Prior to leaving for Winnipeg, he managed to squeeze in a live interview with Robert Fisher on CBC Radio's "Here and Now" regarding his latest article Is Personal Development a Scam? Ahmed is fast becoming the spokesperson for the personal development industry and 'A Dictionary of Distinctions' is the cornerstone of his philosophy. At his book launch, Danish will excite the attendees by demonstrating how changing the way we communicate changes our life, which simple words used in everyday conversation can have a profound impact on our health, happiness and success, and how to reap the benefits of using words more wisely. His distinctions are becoming the talk of this town, and Danish is painting Winnipeg with the distinctions craze. Interviews will follow the book signing. To arrange to speak with him please call Denise Jetten at: 647-439-5011. McNally Robinson Booksellers 1120 Grant Avenue Unit 4000 Telephone: 204-453-0424 - 30 -
